Hi! I’m Kate Nelson. I am a real estate agent in Nashville, Tennessee. I would like to tell you a little about myself. I was born in Camden, Arkansas but grew up in Little Rock. The highlight of my childhood was learning Japanese at Concordia Language Villages. After high school I majored in philosophy at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. I continued my Japanese by studying abroad at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan. Besides my classes, being a member of Alpha Omicron Pi gave me many unique learning opportunities. Following my college graduation I moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Vanderbilt Divinity School. My major focus there was embodiment, as it relates to theology, ethics, and pastoral care. While I was in divinity school I began exploring career options and with the help of career counseling decided to try real estate. Simultaneously studying at the Divinity School, helping clients buy and sell homes, and working as a dean of Mori-No-Ike, Concordia Japanese Language Village gave me opportunities to pursue all my interests at once. After graduating in 2005 with a Master of Divinity I decided to make my career in real estate and have loved it ever since. Helping people meet their housing needs and personal goals makes mine one of the most fulfilling careers I can imagine. This November I celebrated my fifth anniversary of becoming a real estate agent. I am quite excited about what the following five will bring. |
